To Kayla Faith,
Don't tell your mother but I decided to agree to Kayla Faith as your name almost in the beginning. I love that name. One thing I've learned in life is to put God first and others second and myself last. This doesn't mean that you don't stick up for yourself in certain situations. This does mean that you look for opportunities to put your needs aside for the em-betterment of others. I can tell you that I love your mom more than any other person I've met. I think about her all the time. Sometimes, she drives me crazy but through the emotions of life, I simply cannot imagine life without her. She loves Jesus with her whole heart. She is always trying to do things that puts others in the position to succeed. She's passionate about everything. You have no idea yet. You're still in the womb. You're now around 20 weeks old, i felt you kick the other night and last week found out that you are indeed a precious little girl. I'm so excite to meet you. But always know that I will love you your whole life, but next to Jesus your mom is the love of my life. I pray that God one day reveals to you the man of your dreams. I pray his heart puts Christ first in everything. After that, I pray he considers your heart in his every decision. It's not always easy nor does it come natural. But I find that everything your mom asks me, I want to do for Jenn. I've seen her heart broken, being with her during that moment, I've made the decision that I will do everything in my power to protect her heart. I promise no less for you. Being a Husband and a Father is the greatest gift and challenge. Like everything else, my number one value is to put Christ first. I pray every night that you will do the same. The minute you don't have Christ the starting point is the minute you begin to lose purpose. Without purpose, you have apathy. In apathy, you're bound to sin. Sin causes death. Having said that, "God i pray that in every aspect you're the reason for my decisions, actions and thoughts. I am grateful for your many blessings, especially my family. Please enable me to be an example and witness of your love. Protect my wife and daughter. Let their hearts forever know that you are their source of strength. I love and thank you for who you are....As the saying goes, 'as for me and my house we will serve the Lord'."
